After 52 weeks you may or may not get a new contract from Randstad or Adecco to work with UberEATS as a delivery rider.
I got a call 2 weeks before the new contract starts.
This contract is called a Phase B contract. You have to get a phase b contract after 52 weeks or you cant work for UberEATS any longer after that.
UberEATS may or may not offer a phase b contract.
I got a call from a Randstad office worker to offer me the contract.
A Phase B contract doesn’t change anything about scheduling your shifts. You are expected to use the group system to schedule shifts for a minimum amount of hours per month. In my case it’s 20 hours per month. I probably do around 12 hours per week on average, so the offered contract is below that, but it suits me just fine.
You are expected to communicate vacation time off and also what kind of other work you might want to do when you can’t fill in your minimum required hours in a month with UberEATS.
Finally, you are also expected to communicate that you will stop working a month prior to your exit if you ever decide to stop working with Randstad and Uber. This was asked of me explicitly.
Basically what it comes down to is that you get a guaranteed amount of hours of work per month and they try to get something that suits you, if you cant find ubereats shifts for some reason. They also consider what kind of work you want to do (delivering meals and food in my case on a bike in rotterdam🚲).
Employment Agencies like Adecco and Randstad can only offer you 6 temporary contracts (i got a 6 month contract) in fase b within a timespan of 3 years. You also get a percentage of your salary based on your contract hours if you get sick. If you cant find shifts with ubereats you have to accept what Randstad or Adecco offers you.
