Uber keeps frustrating our work in cities across the Netherlands, with rules that don’t work. Customers complain, restaurants complain and we are frustrated and discouraged from doing our jobs.
We can’t reach support staff. An ever-increasing number of riders report abuse, outright ai-lying and fired-by-id-check.
We want transparency and agency over our work. Meal Delivery is a highly complex, social and hard job to do. It’s unpredictable because restaurants, riders, traffic and customers all play a role in delivering a meal.
Just like plumbers, meal delivery riders can’t be replaced by ai systems.
To make a stance against the reckless changes introduced by uber every 1-2 weeks we form a union! DSGunion: Delivery Strike Group Union.

This group works with a clear list of what we need to do our jobs.
list of what we want
- 30% acceptance rate (we need free order picking to be efficient)
- no auto-accept
- inapp quest bonuses (no weekly recaps after shifts)
- open real-time statistics (acceptance rate, cancelation rate, number of orders, number of offers, distance traveled)
- how much money earned (doesnt have to be precise, but at least a reasonable estimate)
- no more requirement to be reliable/predicatable (delivery is too complex to be predictable).
We are humans and delivery work is too complex and hectic to be reliable/predicatable. We are not robots.
